Washington: Hollywood legend Anthony Hopkins has reportedly reunited with his daughter Abigail after almost 20 years.
The actor’s daughter by his first wife, Peta Barker apparently, blamed her celebrity father for her drug addiction.
She had once said in an interview: “I came very close to killing myself. The root cause was the fact that my father and I had an intermittent relationship.”
However, they seem to have overcome the crisis in their relationship now, and the ‘Hannibal’ star is said to be overjoyed, reports Contactmusic.
According to Britain`s Sunday Express, he is even hosting a small party for Abigail``s birthday, shortly.
Hopkins reunited with his 40-year-old daughter, who is now an actress, singer/songwriter and director, in the British capital, where he is shooting for a new Woody Allen film.
Anthony had ended his relationship with Abigail’s mother in 1972, when she was just a small child.
