New Zealand dimissed for 262 in first Test

New Zealand were dismissed for 262 in their first innings on the third day of the first Test against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

Rod Latham hit a career best 103 for his maiden hundred while Corey Anderson (48) and BJ Watling (42) put some resistance against some fine pace bowling by Rahat Ali who finished with 4-22 and spinner Zulfiqar Babar took 3-79.

The Kiwis fell 105 runs short of avoiding the follow-on after Pakistan piled up a huge 566-3 declared in their first innings.

Pakistan decided not to enforce the follow-on and will bat again.
