New Delhi: Indian cricket team's chief physio, Nitin Patel, has resigned from his post due to some personal problems, according to media reports.
Patel resigned during the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL), where he was part of the Mumbai Indians' support staff, as per a ESPNCricinfo report.
He has been one of the longest-serving support staff members of the Men in Blue.
Patel joined the Team India during the tour to England in 2007, when he replaced John Gloster, after the latter fractured his elbow during a fielding session.
He was a crucial cog in India's backroom staff over these years.
Now along with the coach, BCCI have to find a new physio as well for the Indian team.
