Cardiff: The manager of the Pakistan team has refused to comment on the latest newspaper allegations that two of his players were being investigated for fixing in a one-day series in June.

Team manager Yawar Saeed told reporters that the allegations “are there and we are here, getting on with our jobs on the tour.”

Pakistan plays England in the teams’ second Twenty20 in Cardiff on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s edition of Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper reported that the ICC wrote to Salman Butt and wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal last month to provide telephone records as part of an investigation into possible contact with bookmakers.

Butt is one of three players suspended last week for the ICC on suspicion of fixing against England.
