Palash supports ragging as a good way to break ice

With Palash`s `Euphoria` having it`s origins in University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), we wonder if ragging ban is the correct thing.

Spicezee Bureau Mumbai, July 14: The lead vocalist of ‘Euphoria’ Palash has passed from the University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS). With his band having its origins in the hostel of this very institute, the fun-element only rises. This was where he discovered it quite early that the best way to impress girls was by forming a band! “That’s how Euphoria was born,” he laughs. “We formed the band in college and I still remember the days when both our juniors and seniors helped us put posters, sell tickets and even carried our equipment,” he said. “My room was on the seventh floor and it was the adda for cool guys,” he added. And well, it was in this room that he penned his first song, Heaven, which is still sung at UCMS. However, he has a word for the raging ban. He said, “Ragging was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I was asked to sing and I kept on singing for close to 15-16 hours. The next thing I knew I was ragging my classmates,” he says, adding, “If handled well, ragging can actually help you break the ice with seniors.” We wonder if the law-makers had kept in mind this thought-provoking angle to the ragging-ban.
