New Delhi: Ignored for this month`s Asia Cup cricket tournament in Dhaka, left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha is eyeing impressive performances in the forthcoming Indian Premier League to force his way back into the Indian team.
Ojha, who was part of the Indian team for the four-Test series in Australia but did not get a chance to play, said he was looking forward to the fifth edition of the Twenty20 event to prove his worth. "I am looking forward to this year`s IPL to prove myself. It`s only a matter of time and I am try to take things positively in my stride," said Ojha after his team, Hyderabad lost to Punjab in the quarterfinals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy here today. After remaining in the sidelines in the entire Test series, Ojha was replaced by Rahul Sharma for the ODI tri-series in Australia. If that was not enough, the selectors also did not consider Ojha for the Asia Cup to be held from March 11-22. "Getting selected (in the team) is not in my hands, it is the selectors` job. I am looking forward to the domestic season, which is very important for me," he said. PTI
