Pak-born Azharullah hopeful of playing international cricket for England

Islamabad: Pakistani-born cricketer Mohammad Azharullah, who has helped his team Northamptonshire to reach the Finals Day in the Friends Life T20 competition, for the first time since 2009, has said that playing international cricket is a dream for him.

In an interview with, Azharullah said that he began playing in England as an overseas player but got married there in 2009 and settled in the UK permanently in 2010.

However, the player said that playing cricket in England did not seem new to him as he had played Twenty20 cricket even in Pakistan and there were tough sportsmen in both the countries.

The bowler said it was a big moment for the club to qualify for the finals day and he was very happy and content with the development.
