Panesar vows to relaunch career in Pakistan Test series

London: England off-spinner Monty Panesar has vowed to relaunch his career in the upcoming Test series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Panesar, who has taken 126 wickets in 39 Tests, has been out of favour since the first Ashes Test in Cardiff in 2009.

“I am very excited to be back as a part of the best cricket team in the world. The main difference since I was selected against Australia in 2009 is that I’ve been given extra responsibility to bowl lots of overs at Sussex and help lead the attack,” the Daily Express quoted Panesar, as saying.

The three-Test series gets underway on January 17 in Dubai.
