Pataudi, Shastri not to attend IPL council meeting

Mumbai: Two key members of the IPL Governing Council, former cricketers Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Ravi Shastri, are unlikely to attend its meeting on Friday in which the number of matches in the 2011 edition is expected to be finalised.

While former Test captain Pataudi is indisposed and may not be able to come from Delhi, Shastri is out of India, it was learnt.

Only Sunil Gavaskar - from the three-man panel entrusted with the job of suggesting cricket-related issues in the IPL - is expected to attend the meeting, as per indications.
