Eddie Murphy confused over Riddler role

Washington, June 11: Eddie Murphy has dismissed reports he`s being considered for The Riddler role in the next Batman sequel. Reports previously stated that Murphy and Johnny Depp are the favourites to recreate the role made famous on screen by Jim Carrey in 1995`s Batman Forever and on TV by Frank Gorshin, who died in 2005.

Murphy insists that studio bosses have not approached him about the villainous role but is taking advantage of the speculation by asking them to bring back 1960s villain Egghead for a future film. "I`ve heard that rumour as well and I don`t know anything about it. Whoever is really playing The Riddler is sitting at home calling his agent going, `We`ve got to get this rumour stopped,`" Contactmusic quoted him as saying. ANI
