Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a show-cause notice to former captain Javed Miandad for speaking against the board’s policies, despite being on its payroll.
Miandad, the PCB’s Director, Cricket Affairs, had criticised the board’s policies in an interview, saying that 90 per cent of the decisions taken by the board during his tenure have proved wrong.
He also claimed that the poor running of cricket affairs by the current management was spoiling the sport.
A PCB official confirmed to The Express Tribune that the board had sent a show-cause notice to Miandad over his remarks.
“We have sought explanation from Miandad for his statement against board which is contrary to clauses in his contract,” said the official.
