PCB took Salman, Waqar into confidence over Yousuf’s recallLondon: Pakistan team manager Yawar Saeed has rubbished media reports that skipper Salman Butt and coach Waqar Younis were not on board concerning the Pakistan Cricket Board’s decision to recall veteran middle order batsman Mohammad Yousuf ,and include young left-arm spinner Hasan Raza while axing leg spinner Danish Kaneria from the Test squad.

“Reports of Salman and Waqar not being included in discussions regarding Kaneria dropping and Yousuf and Raza inclusion are lies and rubbish,” Saeed told PakPassion.net

“Chairman of PCB Ijaz Butt spoke to the touring selection committee consisting of Salman, Waqar and myself we all agreed on Yousuf and Raza’s inclusion and Danish Kaneria’s omission from the squad,” he added.
When asked whether Yousuf would be able to make it in time for the second Test at Edgbaston, Saeed said that an application has been sent to the British High Commission in Pakistan to grant a visa to the former captain on an urgent basis.
“Yousuf’s application has been made to British High commission in Pakistan. I am hopeful that both players will be available for the second test, but nothing is guaranteed as certain things are out of my hands,” he said.
