Pitch preparations satisfactory, outfield causing concern
Kochi: The Pitch preparations for the first India-Australia ODI on Oct 17 at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium here was `satisfactory`, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) curator, K Parthasarthy, said on Tuesday.
However, due to rains there was some waterlogging at the outfield which was causing concerns, he told reporters here after inspecting the pitch at the stadium.
`If the rain stops for two to three days, we will make it`, he said.
Local Ranji players had held a practise match at the stadium yesterday and they gave a good report, he said adding the wicket was good and the ball was coming to the bat.
