New Delhi: India defied arch-rivals Pakistan once again in the ICC World Cup as the defending champions emerged victorious by 76 runs in Adelaide on Sunday. This was India's sixth consecutive victory against Pakistan in World Cup history.
India scored 300/7 after riding on Virat Kohli's 107 runs. Pakistan were folded for 224 runs and skipper Misbah-ul-Haq was the lone fighter for the visiting team and made a fluent 76 runs.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the team for crossing the line against Pakistan.
PM Modi stated that the country is proud of the team. He expressed his views on social micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Meanwhile, senior Congress politician Shashi Tharoor also thanked the team for making everybody proud.
