Pranav Dhanawade: Record-breaking school boy wants to play Ranji Trophy after smashing unbeaten 1,009-run knock

New Delhi: After hogging all the limelight on Tuesday with the help of his record-breaking unbeaten knock of 1009, teenager Pranav Dhanawade's next target is to play in Indian domestic cricket league - Ranji Trophy.

Dhanawade, 15, who smashed 59 sixes and 129 boundaries in his marathon knock while playing in the Bhandari Trophy, stated that he wanted to play in Ranji Trophy.

“My teachers have helped me a lot and now I want to play the Ranji Trophy. I have always been a big-hitter. When I started I never thought about breaking the record. The focus was never that I just played my natural game which is to attack from the word go,” Pranav was quoted as saying by India Today.

Dhanawade father, who drives an auto rickshaw told The Indian Express, “I want my son to become a great cricketer. He has proved that he has the talent today. Cricket is not an easy sport and expensive too. I spent extra hours driving an auto rickshaw in order to afford the cricket gear for my son.”
