Jacko ‘thrilled’ to do 50 comeback gigs in London

The promoters behind Jacko’s comeback tour have blasted allegations that the singer was angry with them for booking 50 shows in London.

Washington, June 06: The promoters behind Michael Jackson’s comeback tour have blasted allegations that the singer was angry with them for booking 50 shows in London, insisting he is rather ‘thrilled’. The 'King of Pop' was previously reported to have told his fans that he wanted to do 10 concerts at the O2 arena and spread the remaining shows all over the world.
It was further alleged that Jackson came to know about the extra 40 bookings later and feared his small appetite may not allow him the stamina to perform on such a massive scale. But Randy Phillips, the CEO of producers AEG Live, dubbed the story untrue. "This is not true; Michael Jackson was thrilled at selling 50 shows,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying. “The size and scale of this show would not be possible without an extended run, which Michael has been fully on board with from the very beginning. He has not agreed to a world tour at this point, however, he can at any time," he added. ANI
