Raina fined for showing dissent to umpire

Barbados: Indian batsman Suresh Raina was at the receiving end of a fine after being given wrongly out in the second Test. He was fined 25% match fee for breach of ICC code as he stood his ground and was visibly disagreeable to the umpire’s decision.

The batsman stood his ground after being given out on the first day of the second Test at Barbados when he was at a score of 53 runs. He was caught by Barath off Bishoo’s bowling and did not agree with the umpire’s decision as the West Indian team appealed half heartedly.

Replays showed that there was no bat involved.
