Mumbai: Former cricketer Lalchand Rajput has been issued a show cause notice by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) for publicly criticising the functioning of MCA`s indoor academy.
Interestingly, Rajput is the chairman of the academy.
"The managing committee decided to issue him a show cause as he talked in the media against the MCA indoor academy of which he is the chairman," an MCA source said on Thursday.
"The notice was sent to him a couple of days ago," the source said, adding that the indoor facility had former player Pradeep Sunderam functioning as its coach.
Rajput, a former opener, was the joint secretary when Mumbai hosted World Cup games last year, including the April 2 final.
