Mumbai: Veteran opener Wasim Jaffer, out of action from Mumbai's Ranji Trophy cricket campaign after suffering a finger injury in their season opener here against J&K, has regained his fitness will play against Tamil Nadu in their group league match against Chennai from January 21-24.
The squad led by Suryakumar Yadav has U-23 speedster Tushar Deshpande following the poor bowling display against MP which allowed the visitors score over 500 runs and take the first innings points.
Mumbai are fourth in the Group A table after playing five games and collecting 11 points while Tamil Nadu, having played six matches, are second behind leaders Karnataka with 16 points.
