New Delhi: Senior off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is recuperating well from his shoulder injury, which has kept him out of action from Punjab`s last two Ranji Trophy encounters, and is expected to return to competitive cricket in another 10 days time.
While Harbhajan won`t be available for Punjab`s next Ranji Trophy group league encounter against Karnataka at Hubli, starting from Saturday, the veteran offie is expected to get fit by the time his team takes on Delhi from December 22. "I am currently undergoing my rehabilitation program and it`s going on well. I should be back in action within another 10 days time. Hopefully, I will be playing Punjab`s away encounter against Delhi starting December 22," Harbhajan told PTI on thursday. Harbhajan started the Ranji season on a bright note with 18 wickets from three games before a shoulder injury ruled him out. He had a match-haul of nine wickets against Odisha followed by another eight against the mighty Mumbai. Against Gujarat on a Mohali track that aided pacemen, Harbhajan got a wicket in the first innings but went wicketless in the second. The feisty off-spinner is fighting to get his place back in the Indian squad and one can expect an interesting battle with Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir during the match against Delhi.
