Hyderabad: Syed Quadri compounded Goa's problems with an unbeaten century as Hyderabad posted a mammoth 568/7 in their Group C Ranji Trophy cricket match here on Monday.
Resuming on overnight 290/1, Hyderabad rode on 33-year-old Quadri's 255-ball 115 to reach a position of strength at stumps on day 2 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal.
Quadri hit eight boundaries during his stay at the crease.
Unbeaten on 114 and 163 respectively when play started in the morning, Tanmay Agwarwal and Hanuma Vihari got out after scoring 135 and 179. Vihari hit the fence 18 times during his 260-ball essay while Agarwal struck 15 boundaries and faced 330 deliveries.
Put into bat, the D Ravi Teja-led Hyderabad lost opener Akshath Reddy (4) on 14 but fellow-opener Agarwal and Vihari had stitched an unbeaten 276-run stand to put the hosts in command yesterday.
The hosts continued in same vein today and consolidated their position in the four-day encounter.
