New Delhi: Indian all-rounder Ravinda Jadeja finds himself entagled in yet another controversy after his visit to Sasan Gir.
Jaddu got down from his jeep and posed for photos along with his wife Reeva and a friend.
According to several media reports, the forest department ordered an inquiry into the incident, which occurred during the cricketer's visit to the venue June 14 and June 15.
"We have got photographs that show that he got down from his jeep and took photographs," Chief conservator of forests AP Singh told TOI.
"The Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) J A Khan and PCCF Dinesh Mishra have taken note of this incident and have been asked to inquire into it. I have asked the Deputy Conservator of Forest (Headquarters) Ram Ratan Nala to conducted a probe and send a report," he further added.
Jadeja himself posted the pictures on social networking sites.
"The dos and don'ts clearly mention that getting down from the Jeep or even smoking inside the forest is an offense and in this case, Jadeja has taken photographs in the vicinity of the lions," an official said.
Interestingly, some forest officials also posed with Jadeja during the jungle safari. While the Gujarat Lions star is expected to escape any punishment, the two Range Forest Officers may not endure the same fate.
"I am not aware whether he got down or not but if he did, he wouldn't have known the rules," Jadeja's sister Naina told the newspaper.
