New Delhi: The Yellow brigade overcame Asian giants Pakistan in a pulsating quarter-final clash of the ICC World Cup 2015 at the Adelaide Oval on Friday. Although Pakistan scored a paltry 213 runs, Australia were in a spot of bother caused by Wahab Riaz but poor fielding saw the game go in favour of the hosts and register a place in the semi-final against India.

It was another sad day for the Pakistan cricket fans as the team's poor batting and fielding let them down in a crucial knock-out encounter. Josh Hazlewood, Steven Smith, Shane Watson and Glenn Maxwell starred for the Aussie brigade whereas Pakistan just had a solitary player who showed spirit and fight, it was Wahab Riaz. Riaz bowled with all his heart but two missed catches off his bowling hurt Pakistan's chances.

In the end Australia sealed the match by six wickets.
