England coach Andy Flower wants to continue contributing in English cricket

Sydney: England coach Andy Flower has reportedly expressed his willingness to continue contributing to English cricket amidst the team`s defeat in the opening four Tests of the Ashes series.

Flower admitted that the Aussie tour had been a very challenging time, adding that England`s battling over the four Tests has generally let them down. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Flower said that he will be meeting the new managing director Paul Downton to talk about the leadership of the national team with regards to the coaching position. The former Zimbabwe Test batsman said that all were responsible for this result, the management staff as well as the players. Flower said that he expected England would make one or perhaps two changes for the final match to be played in Sydney after his side has been thrashed by Australia in the opening four Tests of the Ashes series. The report added that after taking over in 2009, Flower has guided England to the top ranking in all forms of the game.
