Things fell apart for the Kiwis when Brownlie was dismissed for 109. Watling and Franklin did put up some resistance but succumbed to some quality and fiery bowling from the South African pacers. New Zealand scored 63 runs in this session and lost one wicket to reach 232/5.South Africa have toiled hard all morning and have managed to pick up the wicket of Dean Brownlie. New Zealand would be satisfied with their performance in the first session. The highlight of the session was Brownlie getting his century with a beautiful six over the bowler’s head. Morkel got him out to a rather loose delivery. This has been a fantastic knock from the middle order batsman. His knock has been a perfect mix of aggression and defence. Brownlie was batting on 87* and has looked very solid in defence. Surprises Brownlie with a short ball first up. Philander to bowl from the other end with three slips in place. As expected he is swinging the ball and causing problems for the batsmen.
