New Delhi: Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, is all set to play a new innings after his retirement in November 2013. We will see him back in action soon, but this time on 70mm screen.
Tendulkar will act in a film, based on his own life, and will be released in around 2,000 theatres across the world, according to a leading English daily.
Though, we have earlier seen him acting in advertisements, this movie will be his theatrical debut.
The movie makers '200 Not Out' – a Mumbai production company – have bagged the rights from World Sports Group, which handles Tendulkar's account, to produce the movie.
James Erskine, who directed `Battle of the Sexes', has been roped in to direct the movie. And as per the reports, half of the movie has already been shot.
It's not going to be a documentary on the Little Master but a complete feature film.
After his retirement, Sachin came out with his autobiography 'Playing It My Way', in which he revealed many incidents and facts about his illustrious cricketing career, on-and-off the field.
However, it would be interesting to watch him act in a movie, which is being made on his own life.
