Opening batsman Tharanga Paranavitana , who was unbeaten after second day’s play was caught by keeper vs Wyk off Southee. He scored 40 (112b, 4X3). The next to depart was Angelo Mathews, caught by Guptill at the score of 47 (111b, 4X5, 6X1). ==================================================================================== Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson struck centuries to help New Zealand post 412/10 in their first innings of the Colombo Test on Monday. Afterwards, their seam bowlers picked three quick Sri Lankan wickets to give them an edge over the hosts by the time stumps were drawn. Tim Southee gave the Kiwis the first wicket in Tillakaratne Dilshan who was bowled at the score of 5. Two balls later he removed veteran Kumara Sangakkara for nought. Trent Boult gave Lankans the third blow by having their captain Mahela Jayawardene caught by Williamson to leave them 43/3 by the end of second day’s play.
