Sanjay Manjrekar interacts with upcoming Mumbai youngsters

Mumbai: Former Test cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar today interacted with up and coming local cricketers at the Mumbai Cricket Association Cricket Academy here.

During his interaction with the youngsters, Manjrekar emphasised upon the importance of a better body balance to achieve the desired results, whether in bowling, batting or fielding, an MCA release said.

The former Mumbai skipper, who is also a noted commentator, shared with the players his experience about how many a great cricketers managed to shine at the highest level for many years.

Players were advised to keep the game simple, carry on with the burning desire to perform continuously and set examples for the coming generation of Mumbai cricketers, the release said.

Manjrekar further had an interaction session with the state team coaches and other support staff and discussed various intricacies of the game.

Expressing his satisfaction about MCA being on the right track towards development of future cricketers, he urged the coaches to let the players evolve so that they can develop the requisites for all the versions of the game, it said.

Manjrekar was greeted by Chandrakant Pandit, Director of the MCA Cricket Academy.
