New Delhi: The Indian team for the Asia Cup cricket tournament to be played in Bangladesh next month will be named on March 1 in Mumbai, the BCCI said on Thursday.
With the Indian team struggling in the ongoing triangular one-day series in Australia, the national selectors will have their task cut out when they meet to pick the squad for the continental tournament to be held in Dhaka from March 11-22.
India are to clash with Sri Lanka in their opening match of the tournament on March 13. The other two teams in the fray are Pakistan and hosts Bangladesh.
The Women`s Selection Committee will also meet at the Cricket Centre in Mumbai on the same day to pick the Indian team for the first three ODIs of the upcoming home series against Australia, BCCI Secretary Sanjay Jagdale said in a release.
