New Delhi: Actor Shah Rukh Khan on Monday thanked Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) for lifting his five-year ban from entering the Wankhede Stadium.

The Bollywood superstar took to micro-blogging site Twitter to convey his gratitude to the cricket association.

MCA on Sunday lifted the ban on the Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner during its managing committee meeting.

The news was confirmed by MCA vice-president Ashish Shelar during his address to reporters.

MCA had slapped a five-year ban in 2012 on Khan from entering the iconic Mumbai stadium over his alleged misbehaviour at the ground.
