New Delhi: Mohammad Amir has been the talk of cricket world for a while, with many questioning the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)'s decision to allow the tainted fast bowler in international cricket.

However, the 23-year-old has received the backing of flambouyant Shahid Afridi, The Pakistan T20 skipper welcomed him and said, "Happy to have Amir back in team."

In a series of tweets, Afridi justified PCB's selection of Amir in the One-Day International and Twenty20 squads for the away series against New Zealand on Friday.

It's worth mentioning that Mohammad Hafeez and ODI skipper Azhar Ali have earlier threatened to leave the team if the pacer was selected.

PCB chief Shaharyar Khan was required to intervene in the matter before finally allowing Amir to return. Afridi then said, he expect Amir to serve Pakistan cricket with total dedication and commitment.

Aamir served a five-year ban and jail time for spot-fixing during Pakistan's 2010 tour of England.
