Shane Warne expresses disappointment after missing out on MCC vs ROW match

New Delhi: Former Australian cricketer Shane Warne once again expressed his disappointment after he was ruled out of Lord`s bicentenary match between the MCC and Rest of World due to a broken hand.

The maverick spinner, who was leading ROW`s playing XI against Sachin Tendulkar`s MCC, suffered a broken hand after being struck by a beamer from former Australia teammate Brett Lee`s first ball.

The 44-year-old expressed his disappointment through his official account on social micro-blogging site Twitter but thanked the officials for including him for the epic match.

Warne posted another photo with several legends and thanked Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) for the honour.

Thousands of spectators, who came to watch a Warne vs Tendulkar contest were left heartbroken as Warne didn`t hit the field after the first innings. MCC won the match comprehensively by seven wickets, courtesy an unbeaten 181-run knock from Aaron Finch.
