Sharjah stadium, which has hosted over 200 one-day international matches, made the record during the Pakistan’s match against Sri Lanka.
The Pakistan-Sri Lanka match is the 201st at the stadium, the Daily Times reports.
A Guinness Records Book official Vin Sharma presented a certificate to UAE Higher education and Scientific Minister Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan at the stadium.
“This is an achievement for Sharjah stadium to get an entry into the world record book. This is something which we are proud of,” Nahyan said.
Nahyan said the record would encourage the UAE to host more cricket matches.
“This will encourage us for more support to sports and cricket is gaining momentum and UAE is becoming a base for cricket,” he said.
