Shashank Manohar can lead BCCI well: Justice Mukul Mudgal

New Delhi: Justice Mukul Mudgal on Monday backed BCCI's decision of handing Shashank Manohar a second term as its president.

According to a report in the Times of India, Mudgal was of the view that Manohar is the right man to lead BCCI.

“I found him to be an absolutely ramrodstraight person with only interest of the game at heart. Manohar can lead BCCI well.

But he has started off well. The priorities that he has set for himself are good and need quick attention,” he said.

Mudgal was head of the committee that investigated the 2013 IPL spot-fixing and betting scandal. The findings of his report led to a two-year ban on Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, as the Justice Lodha panel was authorised by the Supreme Court to make recommendations on the basis of it.
