Washington: Britney Spears is still in love with her ex-boyfriend and paparazzo Adnan Ghalib, sources say.
However, seemingly, the pop star’s father Jamie, who has been in charge of her affairs since last year, has put obstacles on her way to reunite with him.
The singer’s former flame was charged with assault, hit-and-run and battery for an incident in which he allegedly attempted to run over a court official who was trying to serve a restraining order on him.
Following which Britney`s dad requested the court to have a restraining order against Ghalib, which was granted by the court in July this year.
Now, Adnan can’t go any closer than 100 yards of Britney and is also banned from all forms of communication with her.
And apparently, it is getting the ‘Womanizer’ hitmaker depressed.
"It is really breaking Britney’s heart. She is still totally in love with Adnan and she can’t even speak too him, it’s making her really depressed," Fox News quoted a source as telling Pop Tarts.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Jamie is encouraging her to date 37-year-old William Morris agent, Jason Trawick.
The insider said: "Jamie (Spears) is really, really pushing the relationship with Jason, he thinks he’s a really good influence on Britney. And the last thing he wants is Britney going back to Adnan. She would if she could."
