New Delhi: Sri Lanka suffered a major blow on Sunday as their fast bowler Shaminda Eranga was hospitalized in England with a heart ailment, according to a media reports.

The incident took place mere two days ahead of their first ODI against hosts England, which is scheduled to take place at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

If Sri Lanka, who have already missed the services of Dhammika Prasad and Dushmantha Chameera during the three-match Test series, miss yet another player on this tour, then it would be a major concern for the visitors.

Interestingly, according to a report in PTI, Eranga had been called for a suspect action during the second Test at Chester le street.

He was to undergo a bowling test at the Loughborough University on Monday.

There was a danger of him being sidelined in case it was ascertained that his arm violated the 15 degree-rule, SLC sources said.
