New Delhi: According to a report in the Times of India, thieves broke into Lodha Committee's Vasant Kunj office and robbed cash from a drawer.

The burglars may have also fled with with some documents related to the 2013 IPL spot-fixing and betting scandal, which were collected by the panel during the investigation.

The local police station registered a case under section 380 IPC (burglary). However the authorities have not yet determined the exact loss. Police have also ordered an internal inquiry into the matter.

The burglary act was noticed on Wednesday last week after a security guard saw the broken lock, which he duly reported to senior officials. CCTV footage of the incident has been recovered.
