Chennai: Annoyed by a question on IPL controversy thrown at him, BCCI secretary and Chennai Super Kings owner N Srinivasan today walked out of a press meet, where he happily talked about his ream winning the title this year.
Srinivasan, who announced before the conference that he would not answer questions other than the IPL tournament, talked about his side missing the inaugural edition title and this year’s Champions League Twenty20.
But when a reporter asked about his comments on the IPL controversy, he ended the conference immediately.
Before that, Srinivasan said he was delighted to have won both the IPL Cup and the Fair Play Trophy.
“It was a rejoicing moment when our team claimed both the IPL title and Fair Play Trophy,” he said while holding the diamond-studded IPL Cup and Fair Play Trophy.
“We were doubly happy to have won the Cup after missing it in the first edition and then losing in the semifinals last year in South Africa. The title triumph this year was a happy moment and our joy was all the more when we were awarded the Fair Play Trophy too,” he said.
Asked about this year’s Champions League Twenty20, Srinivasan said, “The same CSK squad will play in Champions League.”
