Strauss-Zaheer clash could the theme of the summer: Hussain

London: As India take on England in the first test at Lords, a battle between Andrew Strauss and Zaheer Khan will be the one to watch out for.

The England skipper has struggled against the left arm pacer in the past, with Zaheer removing Strauss four times during the 2007 series.

Strauss might again struggle against Zaheer, if the pacer can put in a good spell of bowling.

“I would say that Zaheer needs to be on top of his game,” Former England captain Nasser Hussain wrote in a column for a daily.

“Strauss has had a month since the end of the Test series against Sri Lanka to work on his technique against left-armers,” Hussain added.

He however said that Strauss had the chance to put the pressure back on Zaheer, if he can get off to a flyer against him at Lord`s.

Hussain also indicated that the clash between the two cricketing stars will be an even battle.

“The battle between the two could be one of the themes of the summer,” he said.
