London: England off-spinner Graeme Swann has been cleared to play in next week’s third Test against India at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.
Swann was struck on the left hand while batting in second Test at Trent Bridge.
An initial X-ray had revealed a worrying ‘shadow’ that could have been a broken bone, but follow-up tests have confirmed there is no damage.
It means the 32-year-old will be fit for the third Test. England currently leads the four-match series 2-0.
