New Delhi: The Indian squad for the upcoming two-match T20 International series against hosts Australia and the subsequent triangular one-day series also involving Sri Lanka, is to be picked at Chennai on Sunday, the BCCI said on Thursday.
"The All-India Senior Selection Committee will meet at 4:00 pm on Sunday, 15 January 2012, at the Sheraton Park Hotel and Towers, Chennai, to pick the Indian team for the two T20 Internationals and tri-series, on the tour of Australia," BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale said in a release.
At the conclusion of the four-Test rubber on January 28, India and Australia will square off in the two T20 ties, which are scheduled on February 1 and 3 at Sydney and Melbourne respectively, before the three-nation 50-over tournament commences on February 5 in Melbourne.
The three teams would clash with each other four times each leading to the best of three finals in March.
The BCCI also said that the twenty probables for Indian women team, which will tour the West Indies in February-March, will be announced in Indore on Saturday.
"The All-India Women`s Selection Committee will meet at 12:00 pm on Saturday, 14 January 2012, at the Holkar Stadium, MPCA, Indore, to pick twenty probables for India`s tour of the West Indies in February-March 2012. The tour will comprise three ODIs and five T20 Internationals," he said.
