Talent Hunt` by KCA from Apr 4

As part of its game development programme, Kerala Cricket Association is initiating a massive talent hunt from April 4 to 27 and would implement a Talent Assessment Programme (TAP) in all 14 districts.

Kochi: As part of its game development programme, Kerala Cricket Association is initiating a massive talent hunt from April 4 to 27 and would implement a Talent Assessment Programme (TAP) in all 14 districts.
KCA would conduct selection trials at various centers for four categories --Boys (under -19, under-16, U-14 years) & Girls (under- 19 years), a KCA press release said. This would be through a structured selection process spread over three days. The selections would be done by former state senior players and KCA Coaches of repute. Selected trainees will attend the "Summer Coaching Camp" conducted by KCA coaches at these centers from May 5 to May 20. Based on their progress at the camp,the final selection and enrolment to District Coaching Centers (DCCs) will be made. Those selected to DCCs can undergo routine training and practice all through the year under guidance of KCAs coaches. This will be a non-residential programme, the release said, adding, they would also get opportunity to attend specialised coaching at KCA`s Elite Academy and at the Centre of Excellence at Kochi during the course of the year.
