Taylor better Test skipper than McCullum, says New Zealand mediaWellington: The New Zealand media has said that the under the leadership of former captain Ross Taylor, the Black Caps Test team had been making significant progress than they are doing under current skipper Brendon McCullum.

Six months after Taylor lost the captaincy, under him, New Zealand enjoyed the first Test win in Australia after 25 years, and the first drawn test series in Australia for a decade.

Taylor had also captained the Test team that had won in Sri Lanka after 25 years, and had displayed one of the greatest individual performances by a Kiwi player.

Under McCullum, the team seems to have become weak and brittle, adding that first they were defeated by South Africa on four occasions, including once for under 50, with the same thing happening again in England.

Although McCullum is a good ODI captain, he does not have the skill to lead in Tests, adding that the even though the captain is barely good enough to make the team as he is not a wicketkeeper, he is more there by default due to the lack of talent in the team.
