West Indian players perhaps enjoy playing in the T20 format more than any of their world cricket counterparts. Majority members of their squad are part of the biggest T20 leagues across the globe.
The Windies squad is full of maverick players who can alter the course of a match with a moment of genius.
Needless to say that Chris Gayle is the most critical component of this side. The left-hander 's consistency makes him the best batsman in T20 cricket at the moment.
Darren Sammy's side also comprises some of the most versatile cricketers in the game. Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell and the skipper himself can bat and bowl at any position and situation, which gives their side a lot of options.
Having been bought for a whooping 4.2 crore by the Delhi Daredevils in the IPL auction, Carlos Brathwaite is without a doubt the player to watch out for in this side.
Windies will however miss the services of two star players Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard. Had they not pulled out, this unit could have been even more formidable.
The juniors have done their bit at the recently concluded U-19 World Cup, it now remains to be seen whether the seniors can follow suit.
