The Ashes: CA indicates Oz quicks ready to batter England in Adelaide

Sydney: Cricket Australia`s (CA) team performance boss Pat Howard has indicated that the hosts` fast bowlers are fresh and ready to go as `hard as they can` at England in the second Ashes Test at Adelaide Oval.

The surface is expected to be no less punishing in Adelaide this time, but the fast bowlers are coming off a lighter work load, and as the break between the first and third Tests is too long for a fast bowler to rest, injury-prone Ryan Harris would have to play a Shield game in between to keep his bowling loads up.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, with reinforcements on call for the third Ashes fixture at the WA CA Ground in Perth, Howard said that they are aware that there is a three-day turn around between the Perth and the Adelaide Tests.

Howard further said that they will make sure fast bowlers will go as hard they can in Adelaide and then reassess their form for Perth, depending on the amount of bowling and the workload pressure on each player, although he added that the players are reasonably fresh coming out of the Brisbane Test.
