Warwickshire County Cricket Club, which owns the ground, confirmed that tickets for the second, third and the fourth day have already been sold out, and there are some seats available for the first and last day. Selling of tickets for the match started in September last year.
Commercial director of Warwickshire, Gareth Roberts said, “The Ashes is the biggest Test match series in the world, and it’s fantastic for Edgbaston to host one of the five all-important matches, not only next summer but again in the following series in 2019.”
“At present, tickets are only available for days one and five, and we would encourage fans that are planning to attend to book in the coming days to avoid disappointment. Any tickets that are returned by our sponsors for the sold out days will be released in March,” he added.
The first Test match of 2015 Ashes series will start on July 8 in Cardiff, with the third Test scheduled for July 29 - August 2. The three-month long tour will witness the traditional rivals fighting out in a five-Test series and five-ODIs. The final ODI will be played on September 13 at Old Trafford.
