London: England pacer Chris Tremlett, who bowled with a niggling hamstring in India`s second innings in the first cricket Test at Lord`s, is expected to be fit for the second Test at Trent Bridge, starting Friday.
The paceman, who took four wickets in England`s 196-run victory to go one up in the four-Test series, left the field regularly during the fourth and fifth day`s play and did not look at all comfortable, reports a daily.
Tremlett has been named in an unchanged 12-man squad for the second Test and Andrew Strauss is confident his new-ball bowler will play at Nottingham. "He seems fine," said the England captain. "He has a little niggle but I think he should be fine."
"He`s an important player for us and has troubled everyone he has come up against. It`s not surprising when you are as tall and strong as he is. He`s the real deal and he`s definitely added something to our attack," Strauss said.
