During a match at the Silli AstroTurf Stadium near Jharkhand capital Ranchi, his team Silli Sports Academy defeated Ranchi XI, a football club, by 6-2 goals.
As reported by hindustantimes.com, the 35-year-old even overwhelmed the crowd with his skills on the ball, having scored a stunning goal all by himself and even set-up two for his teammates while dribbling past opponents.
The crowd at the stadium cheered the Indian cricket icon with the chants of “Mahi…Mahi” as the local hero displayed his endurance, agility and moves on the ground.
After the match, Mahi felicitated two female athletes who had won national titles in Wushu Championship.
