Victoria won their 29th Sheffield Shield title after the five-day final against Western Australia ended in a draw at Hobart`s Bellerive Oval on Wednesday.

Sydney: Victoria won their 29th Sheffield Shield title after the five-day final against Western Australia ended in a draw at Hobart`s Bellerive Oval on Wednesday.

Victoria took the title by finishing top of the competition`s point standings after the season`s 10 regular rounds.

The final of Australia`s domestic competition was played in the Tasmanian capital because the Melbourne Cricket Ground was unavailable due to the World Cup.

Scores: Western Australia 421 and 293 for 2 declared; Victoria 381 and 158 for 4.
