In one ODI against New Zealand, the left-hander played a gem of an innings.

Chasing a huge 314-run target at Auckland, MS Dhoni and his men were wobbling at 184/6 at one stage.

While Ashwin was batting at 19, not much was expected of him considering he isn't an established batsmen. In walked Jadeja.

Much to the surprise of the Kiwis, the duo stitched a brilliant 85-run stand for the seventh-wicket partnership.

They seemed to take India home, before Ashwin was removed by Nathan McCullum for 65.
